Hello again Stitchers! I just wanted to post a link to another online resource that I think you will all find useful - this is something that I have used many times before and it has been a real godsend.
Threadcolors.org is a website that gives the RGB values and Hex codes for most* of the DMC colours and if you want to do realistic embroidery, or just want to have precise colours in your projects, this is the place to go. You just type in the RGB value of any particular colour into the three boxes at the top labelled R, G and B, and the website will automatically produce the closest available DMC thread colour.
* Please note that the tool hasn't been updated for a while and does not have the 35 new colours that DMC has released
